Ons kajakbedrijf is de toonaangevende touroperator in zijn klasse en service voor de anderen. De eigenaar en de leidende gids Farly is de ambassadeur van Mangrove Kayaking in Langkawi. Begonnen met kajakken in 1987 en gelicenseerd vanaf 2006 als natuurgids. Spreekt vloeiend Maleis, Engels en Japans. Nadat hij als voormalig stewardess naar meer dan 30 landen heeft gereisd, weet hij goed met gasten om te gaan en met hun verwachtingen om te gaan. Wat meer aan zijn ervaring toevoegde, was ooit als activiteitenmanager voor het Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, die natuurtochten en de conciërge verzorgde. Foto's die tijdens de tour zijn gemaakt, zijn gratis van de nieuwste smartphones en worden onmiddellijk naar onze gast gestuurd. Momenteel zijn we al meer dan 3 jaar op rij de toonaangevende kajakoperator in Langkawi op Trip Advisor.

Kayaking with Mr Farly was the best experience me and my husband had in Langkawi. Mr Farly is such a great guy and guide. The tour was educational and super fun. Mr Farly also went above and beyond by taking great photos for us throughout, so we didn’t have to worry about doing that ourselves. We also saw bats and learnt about caves, etc. If you get the option of doing the advanced kayaking tour, go for it! We went out to sea in choppy waters and it was a tiring but completely worthwhile experience. Thanks Mr Farly!
Best Experience in Langkawi

One of the best experiences we've had at Langkawi. Went through the Mangroves, had fresh fish at the floating restaurant, and also went out to the open sea in our Kayaks. We done Jet skiing a few days prior to this, and I can confirm that this is definitely more exhilarating, since you have a more personal experience with the tour guide. Mr Farly is very knowledgeable about the the Mangroves and his life experiences are also interesting. He is also very funny!
Without doubt the best thing to do at Langkawi, definitely recommended!

Mr. Farly is a legend! The trip was absolutely amazing! We had an amazing time, with great guidance, great jokes, plenty of breaks and rest stops. We even stopped on a wonderful remote beach for a swim halfway through.

Trip Highlight, a must do for your stay in Langkawi

Kayaking through the Mangroves with Farly was one of the highlights of our travels through Malaysia. From start to finish, the experience was perfect and Farly was an absolutely amazing guide. We reached out to book via the form on his Weebly site and coordinated over Whatsapp to schedule and were lucky enough to be able to book for the next day (note the price on Tripadvisor is correct and the price on his website is currently out of date). As the agenda states, we started with the bat caves where Farly gave us an interesting and educational walkthrough of the mangroves and bat caves, pointing out other interesting creatures such as bees and crabs. We then took a boat ride to the floating fish farm and kayaked out from there. In addition to providing interesting facts and conversation throughout the kayaking trip, Farly also took many photos of us to be able to remember the trip by!
Some practical tips:
- He states it in his trip details but it's worth noting that you really will get very wet and so bringing a change of clothes for your ride home is essential
- I brought a small backpack for our clothes and towel etc.. and was able to leave this bag at the fish farm so I only needed to pack our valuables in the dry bag
- Farly did bring a nice dslr camera with him to take any closer shots of animals or scenic photos we came across. As a result, I would recommend not taking your own fancy camera so you can focus on the experience of kayaking. (I did bring my phone though in one of the phone cases that you can hang on your neck and grabbed a couple shotes)
- We stayed in Pentai Cenang and had no trouble getting a Grab there and back. Farly also waited for us to get a confirmed ride back before he left to ensure we did not get stranded
- For footwear, we wore flip flops and that was fine but water shoes would definitely be better if you have them
To summarize, Farly was an absolutely amazing host and this tour is a must do during your time in Langkawi. I can't recommend Farly enough!!

Farly is an amazing tour guide, and just a great guy! He is so friendly and knowledgeable and was quick to respond and let us know exactly what we needed for the day! We saw all the best things! The bat cave, the mangroves, the open sea, the iconic Kilim Geo Park sign and all the animals you could want to - eagles, hawks, monkeys, bats, a snake, fish. On top of that Farly will take some amazing photos of all this for you! I would recommend to everyone! Thank you :)
A must try for adventure seekers

Mr. Farly guided us extremely well during the entire kayaking experience. It is really a must try for adventure seekers, we could spot 3 snakes during our kayaking, which was a bit terrifying but great experience. We went as a group of 4 fiends and 1 solo traveler joined us. It was really a memorable experience.

We simply had an amazing time! The Langkawi mangroves and all the surroundings in the kilim geoforest are simply beautiful and fascinating to see. With this kayaking tour you really get to see the inside of the mangrove-jungle, which is such a different experience from the 'regular' boat tours in the parc.
What makes this tour so great, besides the beauty of what you get to see, is definitely your guide Farly. He knows so much about the park, its animals, the fauna, Langkawi in general and he goes the extra mile to explain this to you during the tour. We already did a regular boat tour in the kilim parc prior to this kayaking tour but even the things we saw for the second time were more interesting now we had Farly to explain what we were seeing. Also the communication prior the tour was very clear and easygoing. We rescheduled once the morning before the tour due to a chance of rain which was not a problem. Farly also made sure to make plenty of pictures for us while kayaking which is very nice as most of the time you will have your phone/camera in a dry-bag. All-in-all a great experience!

The tour by itself was pretty nice with the visit to the batcave, fish market and kayaking in the mangrove. However the guide Mr Farly made the experience incredible! He knew many interesting facts about the geology of the cave and the ecosystems around the mangroves and he was also very talented in explaining them. Having already many years of experience Farly had many cool stories about previous tours he has had. Additionally, he took many pictures of us during the tour and sent them to us for free!
The tour begins with a nice boat ride to the bat cave where you go inside the cave and afterwards explore the mangrove trees on land. Then you move on to the floating fish market where you can look at some of the live fish and feed them. After that begins the kayaking tour to the mangroves which was my favourite part. There are two possibilities of either the easy route or the hard route and the guide will choose which one is better for the group, apparently sometimes the group will split to both routes if there are enough people and 2 guides. The kayaking was very nice and peaceful in places where other boats can't access. After about 2 hours you return to the fish market and have a nice lunch.
If I come back to langkawi I'll definitely go on this tour again with Mr Farly!
