Island boat trip

An easy cruise to interesting islands. Apart from a rather eager boat driver the tour was well-conducted.
Two islands and some lovely scenery

As a family of four we were able to fit quite nicely into the boat although one does have to dress appropriately as one will get wet. Also avoid carrying too many bags as the boat is is not really a speed boat and has quite basic features. As one gets out into the waters we get to the Island of the Pregnant maiden first. The boat jetty there gets quite crowded . Do stop in at the base for a toilet break or a quick snack. No need to rent any of the floatation gear at that point even though there are people who will keep peddling it. The whole island is an ecologically preserved forest and has a set of around 100 broad steps going up first , and then a steep climb down towards the lake . Be aware of the Monkeys here as they like to grab your bags and run. At the lake one can choose any of the activities available including swimming or just paddling around in a solar powered boat. Prices in June tended to be around 5 ringitt per person for a 30 minute paddle boat rental. After 60 minutes , remember to get oneself dry and climb back over the hill and back to the boat jetty. Good tip is to remember your boat number as they all tend to look alike. one can call for ones boat as well. Post that there is a stop over at another small island where one can enjoy a nice beach and beautiful waves. On the way back the boats usually stop around the island where the eagles like to go fishing . Good to stop there for 5 minutes and observe.
Great trip

Great trip - not for the faint hearted when water is rough. Shame about the pouring rain. Need reasonable level of fitness with no injuries. Great attractions and beautiful scenery.

Should be called wave hopping.

Firstly, I must agree for the most part with Mennah D. I too thought I would have a compressed spine the impacts were so intense and there was nowhere to stand up like the driver. Not sure that the driver could do much about it though except to slow down a little. In my opinion the sequence should be reversed as the most beautiful beach is the first one visited and we really wanted to swim, my son especially, but then we would have been in wet clothes for the rest of the tour. You also need to be careful of the many mischievous monkeys on this island. The lake in Pregnant Maiden island is also spectacular but like Mennah D says you don't have a lot of time to enjoy it. You also need to take money to access the lake and buy refreshments (the walk too and from is tedious and you'll need a drink). All in all the tour is very enjoyable but would be more so if it was reversed.
